As of October 6th, La Jolla’s Real Estate Market continues to bounce back from the downturn that it took in September. Over the last two weeks, the Average Listing Price has steadily climbed back up to $2.7 million giving it an increase of 1.5% compared from the week before. From July 10 through September 10, the Median Sales Price decreased 7.7% compared to the same period last year. The Average Price for Square Foot for La Jolla was $541, 2.1% more than last year during the same time.

La Jolla is a great place to raise a family. You can tell by the increase in homes sold with 2 and 3 bedrooms over a decline in 1-bedroom homes. Medium sized homes are becoming more popular for the working families, big enough to raise their family in but cheap enough to afford it. Homes that have 2-3 bedrooms have increased by as much as 25% and really small homes and multi-million dollar homes have taken a drop in sales by as much as 18%.

While these numbers seem to offer more for bigger families, you can still find all kinds of great deals no matter how many bedrooms you need. Whether you’re looking for a condominium or just a cozy little place on the beach, you can’t go wrong in this little “jewel”. You’ll soon understand why no one’s willing to leave here.
