Summer is finally here! It is that time of year again for music, theme rides and a vast selection of delicious foods.  The San Diego Fair is getting ready for its opening day this coming Friday June the 11^th and it will go until Monday July 5^th.  This year’s fair theme will be “Food” and “Taste the Fun” as its slogan.  The fair will not only be celebrating the famous munchies it is famous for, but in addition it will also be commemorating the food that is part of our lives each and every day.   This year’s fair will be full of cooking and food activities including contests and demonstrations that fair goers can engage in.  Fair visitors may also take part in many other food related activities in the Tour of Tastes Theme Exhibit.

The music will also be felt playing and singing through out the fair once again this year.  Every year the fair seems to be a non-stop entertainment event with nine unique stages located through out different parts of the Del Mar fairgrounds.  Singers, musicians and comedians that are nationally known will appear on the Grandstand Stage in addition to hundreds of other entertainers including local bands that will be performing at additional stages and entertainment venues.  This year’s line up brings us multi-time Latin Grammy winner Julio Iglesias, 70’s rock and soul band KC and the Sunshine Band, Classic Pop and R&B sensation Donna Summer and many more.
